Morbiham Gulf on Google Maps.
Separated from the Atlantic Ocean by a passage less than 1 km wide, a passage that for the heavy boats of past centuries represented sometimes insurmountable difficulty due to the currents of more than 10 knots that are created in moments of tide, at its interior contains dozens of islands but only two inhabited: Le-Aux-Moines and Arz. The gulf insinuates itself into the Breton territory with dozens of branches that reach the city of Vannes, over 20 km inland, with the beautiful old town surrounded by ancient walls, gardens and, inside houses of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The gulf is a safe haven for many sailing enthusiasts as you can see walking along the coastal paths. A tourist destination frequented in the summer by tourists from all over the world to observe the historical and naturalistic beauties that this particular gulf offers considered, from the Bretons people, their sea to differentiate it from the Ocean that bathes the wild coasts of French Brittany.
