Mykonos town on Google Maps
Symbol of the ancient city of Mykonos are some windmills that have dominated the bay from a hill since the 16th century. Mykonos city is nicknamed the Venice of the Cyclades due to the ancient buildings with small balconies that directly overlook the calm water of the bay and its narrow alleys with craft shops and clubs but the characteristic of Mykonos are the clubs and restaurants that cluster on the narrow city waterfront. Places open until late at night that prepare the evenings and then move to the famous discos of the island. An ancient city but at the same time touristically modern and crowded especially during the summer period.
