Mouans - Sartoux on Google Maps.
Mouans and Sartoux, a few kilometers from Cannes, were two separate villages in the Middle that they has been abandoned by its inhabitants in the mid-14th century due to Saracen invasions and disease.
At the end of the 15th century, to repopulate his lands, the lord of Mouans brought in several peasant families, united the two villages into a single municipality in 1858, taking the name of becoming Mouans-Sartoux. Between agriculture and silkworm breeding active until the mid-20th century, the medieval village has now become a tourist destination with a castle and the internal streets largely occupied by climbing plants, mulberry trees, bougainvillea with flower pots in the windows making this village an interesting destination for those visiting the French Riviera.
