The main island where is Arutanga, the capital of the island, is located on the northern tip of a large lagoon a triangular shape having 14 km per side. A great extension of turquoise waters, protected by coral reefs which makes Aitutaki, a paradise for tourists who reach this island. On the island, unlike Atiu we saw in a previous reportage, there are several resorts along the coast. Sign of the growing interest, on the part of international tourism, to this small island located in the southern Polynesia. English language, Aitutaki is accessible by air with a domestic flight from Rarotonga, the main island of the archipelago of the Cook Islands.
