Where is the Sulcis Iglesiente
Article.
Sulcis Iglesiente, are two provinces located on the south west coast of Sardinia. At one time, this area was home to large mining companies that thanks to the presence of the sea and cliffs, allowed a fast time of loading of vessels. Thanks to the safety of the mines, today tourists can access and visit the old mines. Some can be visited on foot, others with small trains. In common, the mines have the distinction to be dug into the cliffs overlooking the sea with breathtaking and with a natural environment unique in the world. A sports tourism saw the number of kite surfing and wind surfing present in front of the beaches along the coast but also an itinerant tourism and coastal navigation. A journey of discovery where the mining tourism is combined with the food tasting and discovering local traditions and cultures still true and genuine.
