Rarotonga Island on Google Maps.
The island of Rarotonga has three very special jewels: the pearls, the lagoon and its beaches, the lush and impenetrable tropical forests. The archipelago of Cook Islands, is one of the largest producers of gray and black pearls in the world. Cultivated in the lagoons of the islands distant and inaccessible to the tourists, the beads are collected, selected and sold in Avarua town, the capital of the archipelago.
The association of producers of pearls, with headquarters in Avarua (Rarotonga Island), brings together dozens of small producers and thanks to a careful and meticulous selection of the pearls, exports them all over the world.
Walking through the city's shops you can see, try and buy beautiful jewelry such as rings, earrings and necklaces at a very good prices. Who don't likes the jewelry in general, there is the sea with coral sand beaches and a lagoon with turquoise waters that welcome tourists from all parts of the world for quiet relaxing days. Who does not like to swim or relax, the hiking in the rainforest with an expert guide, offers adventure and shows of rare beauty.
