Oasi Zegna, born from the foresight of Ermenegildo Zegna (1892-1966) founder of the famous company in the clothing sector and his family, is a vast area that includes some valleys and dense woods. Within this area of 100 km2, over time the family have developed tourist activities mainly related to the observation of nature, the relationship between man/nature and bike trails, nordic walking trails, paths in the forest, trail rides and, in winter, some paths become trails for cross country skiing and easy ski mountaineering trips. Experienced guides accompany and organize courses for the various sporting disciplines increasingly targeted to the respect and knowledge of this luxuriant nature in the Oasis. In this reportage, we follow the trail called The Forest Smile (Bosco del Sorriso), a route through forests of beech, larch, fir and birch but it is not only a good walk between autumn colors, it is also discovery. Discovery of sensations like listening to the sound of the forest, to hug the trees, to discover the alpine architecture, to learn about the forest stories written on the wooden books. A pleasant and interesting hiking accompanied by expert naturalist guides, information boards and detailed maps of the trails.
